Professional career

01
Scandit
Zürich, Switzerland
Lead enterprise architect at Scandit, a computer vision and data capture start-up that reached unicorn status during my tenure. I worked with senior leadership to design and implement new information systems, optimize and automate business processes, and ensure that the IT strategy is aligned with the rapid growth of the business.
02
McKinsey & Company
World-wide staffing
Senior consultant at McKinsey & Company, one of the world's leading management consulting firms. I advised C-level executives from the banking, retail, energy, and software sectors on a wide range of technology-related topics, prepared impactful business transformations, and led the architectural design of many complex information systems.
03
ETH Zürich
Zürich, Switzerland
Research scientist at ETH Zürich, one of the top-ranked universities for technology and natural sciences. My research interests revolved around distributed database systems, large-scale data processing, and high-performance networks. In addition to research, my duties included teaching activities at the under-graduate and graduate levels.
04
Oracle Labs
Redwood Shores, United States
Internship as a research scientist at Oracle Labs, the research division of Oracle. I developed, implemented, and evaluated efficient network scheduling techniques for distributed join and aggregation algorithms in the context of Project RAPID, a hardware-software co-design project targeting large-scale data management and analysis.
05
IBM Research
Rüschlikon, Switzerland
Internship as a research scientist at IBM Research in Switzerland, the first European branch of IBM's worldwide research division. I developed, implemented, and evaluated novel methods for autonomous sensor localization in the context of Project MoteRunner, an infrastructure platform for wireless and embedded sensor networks.
